Getting My C 5050z Repaired by Olympus

I called Olympus before I shipped my camera, and they said they would fix and Ship it back in a week. I shipped it Proity Mail on 7/26. They say they are waiting on parts.
My next trip is on 8/19 and no Camera! The point of this story is don't Depend on Olympus because there is a lot I didn't write here. And they will say anything to get you off there backs!

I sent my 5060 in and had it back the next week. Just bought another Oly for my GF I was so happy with the service.....You have an old camera, they are waiting for parts.

They are charging $197.00 And now they wont have the parts till early Setember.
And yea its old, 2 years old. I flooded Nikonis 5's and got bills like that. I did nothing wrong to this Camera. Well I did one thing wrong I bought a Olympus Camera!!! No Camera on this Vacation.

They have a flat rate repare policy....WHy don't you go ahead and take advantage of the upgrade program? You can get a 7070 for less than $400.

Yes, I discovered the flat rate when I had a small problem with mine. Flat rate is expensive for small issues

Here in Croatia flat rate is $220 (tax incl.). I'm trying to find out how to purchase spare parts ($30) and fix it myself. Any ideas?

And new housing, and new lens - this won't work.
