Hi all,
As the title says:
I got my basic cert by PADI back in 1985. Did my OW dive in Conesus Lake N.Y. (one of the Finger Lakes).
My first ocean dives were in Brazil. Did allot of shore dives, night dives, a few boat dives in Brazil too!
That was all back in the late 80's!
Got my Openwater II cert with NAUI IN 1988. Learned allot too! Wreck dive (non-penetration), Deep Dive (100 ft).
Compass Navigation dive, Night dive (already had a few under my belt), Search and recovery dive. It was a great course!
Made some dives in the Florida Keys, and in Hawaii....then more in Brazil.....then wife, baby, life etc!
My last dive was in the Keys back in 1993 sadly! Lots of snorkeling since then. Now 2011, my step daughter is getting
certified, and I'm going to schedule a refresher course in a few weeks, after I get some new Mask, Fins, Snorkel.
I hope to regain my knowledge, as I never lost the thrill! I'll be asking allot of equipment questions so bare with me!
