Decided to day I'd upgrade my reg to an XTX50. I'm currently using an Aqualung Titan, but wanted something that was more suited to cold water, since the temps here are getting REALLY low! Also, I'll be able to use the Titan on a pony bottle down the road (probably not too far down either!). Anyway, what can I expect from this re: ease of breathing. My understanding is that the Titan is unbalanced whereas the XTX50 is over balanced, so it should be a lot easier to breathe, correct? I will be picking it up during the week, so I'll be diving this weekend with the Titan. Looking forward to the XTX50 though :) I'm also switching from yoke to DIN as well (tanks have convertible valves).

havent used the new xtx but the atx 50 regs are excellent breathers, not that it matters but i think the atx regs looked better than the new xtx design

Titan's are balanced. The Calypso's are the un-balance regs. from USD.
