Are there any other download cables compatable with the Geo 100. The price for this cable from Oceanic seems really high $$$.

Purchased 2 of these computers. Anyone know of a cheaper compatable download cable?

Don't bother. At least the software for the Veo is junk. Maybe the same.
I'm not familiar with the GEO, but I do know that the cables for the VT Pro, VT3, Atom 2.0 and OC1 are all different and incompatible with other computers. The VT Pro and VT3 cables have what looks like the same pin configuration, but do not work with the other computer. I haven't taken the time to crack open the units to look at the wiring configuration.

Are you using the current version, or referring to past experience?

I went through several versions not too long ago. Unless the current version was a complete re-write, I'd be surprised if they got all the bugs out.
Bugs give the software character. I have yet to see any software company that issues bug-free software. Besides, the download software is just an enhanced log book. I would be more concerned about the dive computer software...
