I'm considering a new reg. I dive in Southern California up to the recreational limits. I'm trying to decide between the Genesis OZ and the Zeagle Flathead VI. What are your opinions on which would be better between the two?

Thanks,
Steve

I think that you will find a vast majority preferring zeagle. They have a lifetime warranty, are easy to breathe and will never be outgrown even as you advance as a diver. Even if you do not get a flathead you will be happy. That one is the top of the line.

I have a Genesis GS200 (the same as the OZ but not made of titanium parts) and it is a very good performing reg, very easy breathing and very reliable. They are an environmentally sealed, balanced piston reg. I've had it in extremes from very cold water to ample depth with no issues.

They are not as well known as some of the other more *popular* brands, but it doesn't mean that they are not good. Give it a try of you can.
