Help! Does anyone have any experience/thoughts regarding the Genesis Athena BC? I've read really good reviews about it, but I also read that the cumberbund is too short even for some average sized women. I understand that the biggest size this BC comes in is a medium. Does anyone know what this medium would correspond to in regular women's sizes? Is it really made only for model figured women with a really small waist?

The only BC that I've used so far (new diver) is a ScubaPro classic and I wore a small without wetsuit (for the poor course) and a medium with a 7mm full wetsuit with an additional 7mm jacket/vest layer. I don't exactly have a model figure (I'm about size 8, sometimes 10 in smaller sizes clothes). None of the local dive shops in my area stock this BC, so I can't try it on, and I was hoping that someone here would have some insight to this.

Any help would be really appreciated.

Thanks!!!

You might also try a Zeagle Zena. If you have a Zeagle dealer in your area it would be an option for you. They have great justability and fit. I saw one on a ladiy this weekend and she said she just bought it and it worked great and she was glade that she was talked into it.

I have the Athena and I love it! I have the XS/S and it is the only one were the cumberbund actually fits without overlap. I have used it with a 7 mm hooded vest and wet suit and a 3 mm suit and it fits perfectly. Then again I have a 25 inch waist (size 2). You just have to try a lot of BC's on and actually dive with them.
