Just wanted to thank you guys for the great dry glove advice. Picked myself up a pair this weekend and dove them today. The arms of my wetsuit slide right over the latex wrist seals and no leaks at all. Just the straight gloves, no thinsulate, or "hotshot" hand warmers needed. Didn't start to cool down for about 20min.
It may look a bit silly (big balooney air filled gloves) but I was comfortable the whole dive :-)

Cheers

You can also crack the seal to let some air out on the surface but right now its better with air

Can you tell me a mfg and model for the gloves? Currently in the research phase for dry gloves. When you say the arms slid over, did you put the gloves on first, or slide the sleeves up then let them come back down over the seal? I gotta skinny 15 year old who chills easily. Still likely to grow a bit so not prepared to fork out he $$ for a drysuit.

I saw someone using really tiny gas line tubing running from under the cuff of his drysuit up through the cuff of the glove......It was just enough to let the two equalize so the gloves didn't squeeze

DS1, ya I actually kept them as full as I could. I looked a bit like mickey mouse there for a while but well worth it (all that air sure is warm).

Groundhog246, I will get you all the specs off the gloves tonight (I'm at work now, check back this evening). I basically put the gloves on after rolling the sleves of my wetsuit up my forearms a bit. I then give a gentle pull to flatten the latex seal and then roll the sleeves back down over the latex seal. I was amaized that I could do all this without buddy assistance, nice cause you can put them on last after gearing up and checking all your clips etc.

ArtW, well it was the Connie, so I was maxed out at about 20ft but there was no squeeze at that depth. I may have to add another 2lb weight to compensate for the added air though :-)

Ya, Art has that setup going, but I'm using drygloves with a wetsuite, tubing would just flood my gloves lol.

I picked them up for $90.00 cash. Not a bad deal as I've heard they go for around $150 new.

hmmmmm.

I saw them at sharkys for $130 +..... where did you pick them up?
