Well we had about 40 feet of visibility on the Gaskin today. Back in March the viz was much better but Hey, life's rough.

Unfortunately, err, thank God we didn't run into any Finsolos or Sharks.
Thanks to JimC and DrownedRat for an excellent dive!

Lets see the pics

Lets see the video (70mb 4:29min)

Lets see the video of the smallmouth bass attacking Art (11mb 0:38min)

Ohh ohh I almost forgot, a special treat from the POW mooring day last month.

Lets see the video of d33ps1x and FF on the Comet! sorry I forget the 3rd persons name. :06:

Yeah, I had a sucky day today. First I got in late last night after an exhausting day of diving downriver in borrowed doubles, and arrived to see several panicked last minute emails that Limestone was looking to fill a boat for Saturday morning. So I hit the rack and called up Limestone early in the morning, only to find out that they were unable to meet their minimum boatload and had cancelled. So I was forced to hook up with NTD, a dive buddy in tow, and they dragged us out to the City of Sheboygan followed by the Glendora.

Surface conditions were near glass and that sun was just threatening to give us all a lifetime's worth of cancerous radiation exposure. There was barely a breeze to cool our sweating bodies off too as we geared up.

Vis was horrible, had to be only 40 feet on the wrecks. Of course my can light was just way too bright, it took all the challenge out of seeing into the holds and swimming through the holes in the wreck. And on the way up my buddy and I did an air share because of course skills & drills are just the thing.

The other divers on the boat were the most awful people, always grinning and cracking jokes and sharing snacks. Perfectly unacceptable.

Then we ended up on the Glendora - there was a thick band of thermocline right around 60' that interfered with the 40-50' viz and I tell you it's just so disconcerting when you're halfway up the ascent say around 30' and this warm water just washes over your entire wetsuited body. Then we got to the surface and discovered to our dismay that we had too much air left ~1800 psi for me. Hate it when that happens.

Our dive boat had an engine 'issue' and the resulting tow forced us to endure each others' company for an additional time. Most of us dozed or tried not to laugh at each others' dumb jokes or raucous bar-room songs, while finishing off the non-nutitious fattening cookies and other snacks we had brought. Talk about torture.

Your getting good with the camera Art. Is the line out still in tact, I was planning on going there tomorrow?

It was Crystal I do believe.

Hey Art, what's up, you're not interested in diving with me anymore? I've been trying to get ahold of you off-and-on for a month, you never return my calls or emails..............then you post elsewhere a complaint about not having any buds to dive with?

very nice stuff art to say the least..what video cam are you using..pretty clear stuff..good job..freefloat dont you think you should ask him that in a pm instead of calling him out on it here?

Thanks for the comments guys. DPV the line is still there but we just swam out to it. its only a 10 minute swim on the surface.
snuggle - it's a Canon A40 in it's housing, I am still getting the hang of it. the only issue is- since there is no strobes or trays or light I have to turn the flash off and rely on ambient light... my pics of the Kinghorn today are really dark. when I get them up I'll post the link.... the Vickery was a bit better because it's shallower (closer to the sun).
