So this is off stories. This comes off my parents, both of them. Sometime in the earlyish 90s my parents were at a friends place in Missouri. Lake house. They were playing with scooters in the lake. But the twist, they had a small gas engine. Ran a long floating snorkel for air intake. I know they would be worthless for actual diving, just a glorified pool lake toy. I don't know what they are called, so I am having a hard time searching for them.

I'm just intrigued by the idea. Would like to have a better idea of that they were talking about.

Around calendar year 2000, we would often take my boat up to Florida's Silver Glen springs. Several people would be hanging on gas powered water scooters. They had about a 3 foot tall intake snorkel with a check ball. they hovered just below the surface and the prop slowly dragged you around. They were small like the size of school backpack and they were yellow. I don't remember the manufacturer's name.
