Garmin Transmitter Air Spool - O-Ring size

Garmin looks to use a non-standard spool with the Transmitter. The air spool is thicker on the transmitter side than a standard HP Spool. I see that the flow restrictor and air spool are available from Dive Gear Express, but what I am in need of is the o-ring size for the flow restrictor and the large side of the air spool.

Does anybody know what size these o-rings are?

Does anyone know the size of the O-ring used on the larger end of the Garmin Mk2i transmitter spool? Is it the same size as the one on the smaller end? The O ring burst and I'm hoping to replace it instead of buying a new spool (40 bucks cad :shocked:).

Good information, but no information with regards to a standard, easy to order, o-ring size.


I guess the best estimate will be $13.33 an o-ring.

Once you use the 2 o-rings from the flow restrictor, you order the Garmin kit for $40. That get's you a new spool (and o-ring) with another flow restrictor which is the source for 2 more o-rings.

A shame that Garmin felt the need to use a non-standard size for the HP spool...maybe that large size on the transmitter was needed to incorporate some flow restriction functionality??
