Hi fellow bubblers :D. I will be going to ireland soon on a regular basis and would like to know if anyone knows about Galway bay and surronding area. I would like some safe dives to collect food for me and my girlfriend. She has just passed and I would like to take her to some safe dive sites close to land. 15 mts max. Would like to get 1 lobster and mabye some clams. Are they in the bay area?

Cheers
Steve

I don't know about scallops, but i'm 99% sure lobsters and crabs are illegal. You can email CFT(irish underwater council) and I'm sure they can tell you all the laws and regulations. Many laws only apply if you are breathing a gas, not if you are snorkeling/freediving. The Website or the Irish Underwa Hope this helps.
