Hello Scubapro

Love my Galileo sols (wife has one as well). Just putting out my thoughts for the next update . . .

1. NO color screen. Things are way too hard to read on the surface or in bright shallow conditions and eat batteries.
2. YES to the new "paper white" screens like in the new Amazon e-readers, with a bright backlight. Keeps the benefit of enormous battery life, perfectly legible in the brightest sun, and easier to see underwater or at night. And a "night mode" like on the Meridian.
3. Go to Buhlman Z-16. You already have this for the tech/trimix so easy to do. Eliminate the MB levels and replace with either user selected gfs, or pre-set conservatism levels tied to GFs.
4. Bluetooth for offloading to computers or phones
5. Mac compatible software--or at least allow third party mac compatible software to be used like Divelog
6. Implement a bungee solution to give customers a choice over the strap.
7. How about a high quality strap, for goodness sake!

As for the three button controls, user-changeable battery, configurable screen options, compass, AI features, extensive customization, menus, etc, no need to change a thing! Maybe a faster compass refresh rate to give a "smooth" turning appearance, but that is no big deal given how good it is already.

These are comments from a satisfied user!

Bungees are already super easy to implement, but an OEM solution would be nice.

I wish SmartTRAK would be updated to
a) work on mac
b) remember the columns I want to see and don't when I check and uncheck them!!

Yeah, I bungeed mine the day I got it (thanks to the threads in this forum).

One more thing, ditch the plastic screen protector and implement gorilla glass or a ZAGG screen protector instead. I did that and it made the computer much, much more readable, to my surprise.

Good idea. I'll try that!

Yes, one that goes directly on the LDC screen (I used the ZAGG) as it cuts down on the double reflections and makes a big difference especially on the surface. ZAGG used to make one dedicated for the Galileo but don't any more, but just get any Zagg for a cell phone and cut it to size.. I like the "HD" ones with anti-reflective treatment.

1. Give the option for a deep stop
2. Allow safety stop to start at 25 feet
3. Have an option for the safety stop to automatically begin at 20 feet so you do not have to hit the timer.

Agree with luscioman's thoughts. Also, don't stop the safety stop just because you go below 20'. Give leeway to 25' and a wait time of 30 secs before you get kicked out of the safety stop timer.

Just for information, the ZAGG protector for the Galaxy Note 4 is the perfect size. Its width is exactly that of the galileo screen so it needs no trimming. The height is enouigh to give you two protectors that fit the screen in case you ever need to replace it or botch the first attempt.
