From January to April, Wolf and Darwin offer some of the clearest, calmest conditions in GalĆ”pagos, making diving more comfortable and enjoyable. You can still encounter schools of hammerheads, GalĆ”pagos sharks, silky sharks, and manta rays, with vibrant reef life thriving in the warmer water. It’s the perfect time for divers who want amazing shark action with easier currents and excellent visibility before the cooler, nutrient-rich season begins.

āœ… Included:
  • 7-night ā€œMaster the GalĆ”pagosā€ liveaboard cruise from/to San Cristóbal
  • Shared double cabin on the lower deck with private bathroom and A/C
  • Full board: breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, juices, soft drinks, water, coffee & tea
  • Up to 4 dives per day with 12L tank, weights, and bilingual dive guide (18 dives total)
  • Towels, deck towels, and shampoo
  • Transfer from GalĆ”pagos airport
  • Land visits to GalĆ”pagos Islands, North Seymour, and Santa Cruz
  • All taxes

Here’s what divers typically see during this season:
  1. Hammerhead sharks – Large schools are still common, especially around cleaning stations near both islands.
  2. GalĆ”pagos sharks and blacktip sharks – Frequently sighted alongside hammerheads.
  3. Manta rays and mobula rays – Appear more often in warmer waters during this time.
  4. Whale sharks – Less frequent than in the June–November peak season, but occasional sightings still occur, especially early in December.
  5. Dolphins, tuna, and large schools of jacks and barracuda – Often seen in the blue water or passing by during drift dives.
  6. Marine iguanas and sea lions – While more common near the central islands, they are sometimes seen around the dive sites when resting on rocky outcrops.
