The Humboldt Explorer had a last minute cancellation for 26 Oct - 2 Nov. and is now offering space at $3995 pp! Please get in touch ASAP if you are interested. I was just up there in Sept. The populations of hammerheads are larger this year than they have been for some time even though the water was 80 F / 27 C. We saw many thousands of hammerheads...12 enormous pregnant female whale sharks and 1 juvenile male whale shark. Sept & Oct usually do sell out 2 years in advance and airfare costs less at this time of year, so if you have never dived the Galapagos or want to come back, don't miss this chance!

The departure 26 Oct - 2 Nov ended up full. Large schools of hammerheads, silkys, Galapagos sharks and 2 Orcas shredding a huge sea turtle! One put it in it's mouth and the other came over to grab the 2nd half of the turtle, like they were kissing, in order to shred it. Now that is Nat Geo footgage! So cool. Also penguins and sea lions feeding on a huge school of black striped salemas, a sight most non-locals refer to as a bait ball, but salemas are always in massive schools around Galapagos. A school of 40 or so eagle rays, mantas, tons of turtles, fur seals, morays, tuna, large schools of barracuda and jacks, nice sized pods of dolphins...another great week in the Galapagos.
