I heard that instructors working in galapagos islands must have marine biology degrees to do so, is this the case, can anyone elaborate or correct me?

i know an instructor on santa cruz - jan.
he doesnt have a marine biology degree.

Not to my knowledge. Guides in the Galapagos parks have to have a degree in some form of biology. I know two guys in Quito, both from the galapagos, who run PADI's IDC in the city and neither of them have bio degrees.
