🦈 Marine life possibilities in Jan/Feb:
  • Hammerhead sharks: Large schools still common, especially early mornings. Peak hammerhead season is more tied to June–Nov, but Jan–Feb still delivers good action.
  • Galápagos sharks & silky sharks: Present year-round.
  • Turtles: Very active — January/February is nesting season for green sea turtles, so sightings increase.
  • Reef fish: Extremely abundant thanks to warmer waters — lots of parrotfish, surgeonfish, and other colorful tropical species.
  • Sea lions: Active and playful in the water.
  • Marine iguanas: Especially in Jan–Feb, they start mating (on land), and in the water you’ll often see them feeding on algae.
  • Dolphins: Spotted throughout the year.
