20 dives and then the Galapagos?! I'd suggest doing as many dives as possible prior. Certification is irrelevant. Experience is king. Galapagos can be "cling to the side of a rock in a strong cold water current while watching amazing wildlife scenes" diving. Non-warm water makes a big difference. The next most important thing besides experience is physical fitness. The ability to kick in a current for a while without feeling overexerted is very helpful.
