I have been using a Canon G9 with the Ikelite housing for a couple of years. Out of the blue on my recent trip to Key Largo my camera did not power up. Completely dead. When I came home I googled "Canon g9 power problem" and up popped a plethora of reports of the same problem. Apparently, eventually a screw loosens inside the camera and eventually falls inside and shorts out the board.

Canon promptly fixed it for me for a fee of $160 which I think is bull since it seems to be a widely known about defect. I told them this and they still charged me for the repair.

Anyone else experience this with their G9?
