Does anyone know if the Sea & Sea housing for the G9 is available in the US?
I checked their website, but they don't seem to have it listed. After much consideration, I'm leaning towards the Ikelite over the Canon, however, this link made the Sea & Sea unit very appealing:

UWdigitalcamera.com

Any info on this housing would be greatly appreciated!

That's a very nice looking housing.

Tricky to figure out the price though. There seems to be some decimal point issues in most of the sites that list it for sale, as prices run from US $14 - US $2000 :D

Unfortunately the Sea&Sea US site pretty much sucks (going haywire with the flash is not always a good idea). I tried sending them a question about pricing, US dealers etc. but their authorization system doesn't register even correct codes ... sigh.

Please post if you get any new info.

The case is very attractive. It didn't take much to get me searching everywhere for it either. If anyone has luck, PLEASE post info! =P

I'm still waiting for an email from a distributor. I'll also keep you posted when if I hear something.

I had my LDS ask their Sea ans sea rep about this housing, and this was the response:

"The G9 is not being brought into the US by Sea and Sea at this time- unfortunately not a decision US Sea and Sea made."

Anyway, if ordered through one of the Japanese sites, the housing would cost around $1,380 USD. For what is worth, that price would put you in the Ikelite housing, with a strobe arm, sync cord, flat port and wide angle lens.

Wow, ordering from Japan is too rich for my blood. Such a nice housing though!
