Been looking at getting into underwater photography and have came across the G7x MKII and G9x MKII and was wondering what the main differences are between the two? Is the extra price for the camera and housing of the G7x worth it or not?

I spent a long time comparing the two this past month. In a nutshell, they are almost the same camera except the lens on the G9X is considered significantly better, hence the difference in price for same sensor etc.
My problem was I liked the G9X housings, and hated the G7X housings. I really don't like the oval port on the G9X housings. It's just an aesthetics things for me.
Of course, just this week Canon announces the G7X mk III, so ... whoops if you just bought a mk ii.
