I have been looking around for a good wide angle lens for this housing/camera.
I just got a g15, and I am going to buy the ikelite housing (I think) and I have been looking at a few different lens options, I would like to be able to swap lens in the water, because I want to use a macro lens also.

Options I have seen so far is w-4, and a macro adapter + macro lens.
Bluewater-wa110-wide-angle-lens + macro lens (requires wide angle lens port).

Are there any other options that can give me both wide and macro? Does anyone have any opinions on any of the sets ups that can be used for both wide and macro?

Any thoughts would really help me out right now, I spent a some time over the last few months researching but as soon as I figure out a set up I would like, I find something else that seems really nice. I just keep swapping back and forth on what I should get :D

Inon UWL-S100 ZM80 Wide Conversion Lens [ino.456212143705] - $480.00 : Reef Photo & Video!, The Underwater Photo Pros

The G-series will have a hard time with wide because the end of the lens moves so much during zoom. Inon may have solved the problem (see link above). I'm hoping to see more shots before pulling the trigger and buying into the system myself. There's also a dome that fits over this, that will take you out to around 149 degrees fov, which may be wider than you're interested in anyway.

This might not really be considered a "wet" lens though, as it looks like it will take some time and dexterity to set it up properly. You'll also have to check and see if it will fir an Ikelite properly. Both Canon and Nauticam housings can use this system.

i was looking at the set up you mentioned early this week because there is one for sale on scuba board for 500$ (both parts).
i am still thinking about it but i also love macro photography, and with the uwl -100 and dome i wont be able to switch it out, i dont think.

I'm pretty sure that the new inon wa lens will not fit on the ikelite housing (until they make an adaptor).

It will fit with adaptor on the canon housing but then you are committed to wa for that dive.

Since the nauticam housing has a 67mm threaded round port, you should be able to change between wet macro and wa lenses while diving. You might want to call reef photo and ask them since they sell all of the above products.

you can remove the entire "assembly" of lens/dome but not sure it's something i'd care to do myself...i prefer CFWA and WA so it works well for me. if you think you want to switch back and forth to macro, probably not....but it is doable...just not practical, IMO
