G13: Real or mirage

As I approach the need to buy a new set-up, I wonder, "Will a G13 come out or should I just buy the S100 and get it over with?"
Any enlightenment to this question would be appreciated. Conjecture and pure speculation are welcome.

I keep tabs on the Canon rumor mill. My take is that the G1X is the succesor to the G series, a camera that is a bit of a mixed lot for UW. A nice large sensor, with serious questions about slow autofocus and macro performance.

There are persistant rumors of a Canon mirrorless design, perhaphs this year.

No G13. It's the G1X. Too many superstitious people would not by a product with a "13". I think Canon knows that.
