g12 lens replacement?

was going to quietly retire this camera now that i've replaced it (g7x), but it is a perfectly good unit other than a scuff in the lens coating that doesn't seem to affect underwater shots at all (it is noticeable on the surface depending on camera's angle to light). through equal measures of altruism and ulterior motive, considering instead giving it and the canon housing to a friend, a gifted birder/photographer with, for now, limited scuba and no underwater photography experience.

question: is it worth it to replace the lens, and is there a shop you would recommend sending it to?
