I'm not real sure of all the departures, but I got this notification from Funjet today and the sale runs from the 13th to the 15th. For 80 bucks roundtrip, it sure makes it tempting to fly down and cruise on over to Coz for a couple days of diving, doesn't it? Just wanted to let everyone know - here's the official link:

Funjet 3 Day Sale

Just for the record. Last time I did a $79.99 charter sale flight it wound up being $200 after the "fees" were added in. Still a good deal, just not as good a deal.

James

P.S. I just went and checked this one. 173.70 after "tax". Never seen a 150% tax rate before.

I guess I should add in that this was from Detroit - not sure if there are other points of origin or not. It's for 7 days, departing on Saturdays through the end of October.

Shocking! What nerve, charging taxes & fees. How dare they!
Why the apparent attitude? We all expect to pay taxes and fees, but when the taxes and fees are more than the advertised "price" that does seem a little wrong.

I agree. Sometimes the difference between the prices funjet "quotes", and the price after taxes and fees comes to more than quoted prices on a regular airline. It's somewhat of a deceptive practice.

WHAT?? deceptive marketing, what is the world coming to...

This from Funjet or Adventure tours is nothing new
From DFW late nintey's we would watch for the $99.RT airfare after school started/slow season/Hurricane Mitch to jump on and when all said and done was close to $200 still a killer deal.

The X boarded flight's for Adventure tours in 97&98 at DFW so we only had to pay tax to fly. AT that time RT tax from DFW to Coz was $39. Now post 911 is close to $100

I took a funjet tour back in April and was hit with the same taxes and fees. It went from $79 to $206 that's very deceptive. I miss honest businesses. I still went since my fiance was so amped to go, otherwise I might have waited.

If you watch what you're doing you can easily go to Coz 2 people with all inclusive around $1400 for 5-7 days. Not too bad. Once I finish getting out of debt (11 months away) I'll be going to Coz every other month!!!!!!!!

We get that in Europe. Airport fees and taxes come to many times the seat price Easyjet would charge. As the fees and taxes were the same for other airlines I never would have blamed Easyjet. Maybe this is the same deal?
