Hey folks, just getting back into diving and I'm tired of renting crappy regs. Looking for a complete setup that won't break the bank. I'm looking for a well maintained, yoke setup, preferably balanced, with an octo, BC hose, and gauge cluster. A light setup with flex hose and swivels would be ideal. A computer would be nice, but not essential. Generally diving warm water, with most depths under 100ft but occasionally deeper when spear fishing the oil rigs. Will spend $400 for the right setup, but would prefer not to have to spend that much. Located on the northern gulf coast.

Whats out there?

$400 can get you something really, really nice, thats about what I sold some top of the line stuff, I priced it to sell though, just keep an eye out, you'll find it soon.

Check out scubatoys.com , diverightinscuba , liesurepro , divegearexpress
They all have great reg sets that won't brew the bank.

Thanks guys. Pavao, I feel confident I can get something good in that price range too. I'd prefer to spend less, but if I find the right deal and can convince myself... You know how it goes.

Decompression, I've looked at a couple of those sites and I just feel that I can probably get more features for my money if I buy used. That's why I'm here. I think I'm more likely to find something that's quality that's actually been taken care of instead of the craigslist garbage.

Shoot me an email. The address is in my signature line. If you are OK with DIN or don't mind using an adapter I think you'll be very pleased with what I can come up with. Just what gauges are you looking for on it? SPG, SPG/Depth, or SPG/Depth/Compass? Are you using a computer or bottom timer now? Do you need an inflator hose?

+1 on contacting Jim.

I have a complete mares proton ice extreme setup 1st and 2nd stage 370 shipped

Thanks acampane, but I don't need anything made specifically for cold. I live on the northern gulf coast and the idea of getting in 40 degree water sounds awful to me!

Just as an update, I'm looking at the HOG D3 Zenith package and Edge package on diver's supply. Full setup w/3 gauge console for under $450
