Ranger is ~ 6 years old, w/ 100 ( mostly freshwater ) dives, rinsed / washed after every dive. Size is Medium, plus have Large shoulder portion ( Rangers are modular, so can be configured as you like ), and standard 44# bladder. Also included are12# yellow weight pocket inserts.

Very true...of course, that's why we should encourage each other to first determine our anticipated needs, then to shop for high-value deals within that ( so as not to make the mistake of looking at first-cost as the objective ).
If you expect to do only the occasional single-tank, warm-water vacation dive, a Ranger is definitely overkill.
