The other day my three year old girl looked at me with a serious look in her eyes and proclaimed..

"When I grow up I am going to dive with my mommy and daddy and swim with the fishes"

I'm not sure who is more anxious for this to come true, she or I.

You better forgo the college fund, and start a diving fund now! :D

Well, you're obviously doing something right! Congratulations . . .

And look on the bright side -- it's warm enough where you are you probably won't have to spring for a series of dry suits!:jester:

My kids said the same thing almost twenty years ago, now they both are certified. The first time we all dove as a family was on our 25th anniversary. It is the most fun to dive and share the experiences with the ones you love most:D

And I hope that you can find the time and place to snorkel with her... warm water is best... and if you can, do it somewhere where there are fish!

I have had my kids over snorkeling in Hanauma Bay and they loved it.

Unfortunately the daughters do not love the cold PNW water and have quit diving.

However my 4 year old granddaughter goes *scubin divin* with me all the time in the hot tub. She'll never be a PNW scubin diver though... she hates the cold.

Time to take the whole family to Coz :D

I can just hear Deidra saying that! She's certainly been around diving and divers enough to know what she wants.

Good news, Tom!

My 6 year old daughter swims like a fish, is quite happy swimming along the bottom of the diving pool at 4 metres, can use a snorkel like she was born with one in her mouth. She desparately wants to dive but she has very mild asthma. It's going to break her heart and mine when I have to tell her she not going to be able to.
