Hello all...I have not yet done my diving classes and I became a member here to learn more and get all the info I can before I take classes. I do have some friends, however, that do dive and they are going with us on vacation in August and want to do some diving themselves. I have looked all over the internet for places and just haven't come up with much. So if anyone knows anyplace close to Myrtle Beach that has some awesome diving opportunities, could you please pass that info along. Thanks so much!!!!

Hello and welcome to ScubaBoard. :admingreet:

You might want to check out the Deep Dixie forum for the info on Myrtle Beach.

It's mostly wreck diving in that area as the bottom is pretty sandy and featureless. There are a few small natural ledges and an artificial reef: Barracuda Alley.

A couple of options:

Coastal Scuba - North Myrtle Beach

Express Watersports - Murrell's Inlet - 15min. +/- south of Myrtle Beach.

Check out Broadway at the Beach for non-dive activities. Ripley's Aquarium there is smaller but worth a look.
