hey folks,

to make a long story short, i've moved back to baltimore and am looking for an lds in the region. Now, i acquired a reg for xmas from my parents, being nice people they are they took it upon themselves to ask around friends who dive and ended up choosing apeks. Through no fault of their own they bought it online thinking they found a good price and thats the end of it. Im looking to buy my octo and pressure gauge from an lds, but want them to attach the extras to my "outlaw" internet bought 1st stage. ( and set the intermediate pressure etc.) Anyone know of shops they like, ones that would be able to handle this in a civilized manner and have the business sense to build a good relationship w/ a potential loyal customer, or better yet, any bad experiences about shops that turn up their nose? thanks for the intel guys..... now to find a charter since surface interv. went under...

Try Aqua Ventures (http://www.aquaventuresonline.com/). The owner Michael is good guy just be up front with him. He probably won't cover it under warranty but he won't run you out of the store.

Chesapeake Underwater Sports is a great local shop. Be upfront with Mike and he'll deal with you. Let him know it was a present after all.

I'm really partial to the "Fishing & Diving Center" in Cape Canaveral Florida...I've dealt with them over 25 years and never been dissatified.

They treat my students like gold and never try to oversell. If something is not right for them (students) the F&D simply exchanges the product till they find something that's right.

When I teach classes thru them, I am never pushed to sell equipment, though I'm very satisfied with their products. They even offer wetsuits at a 10% discount if the student uses my name or says they saw my website.

Their prices are often better than what is on the internet and will beat most internet prices if they can.

They are a perfect LDS

thanks guys for the info,

Think im gonna give divers den a try, sounds like a good operation.

Hello I know this might be a little further of a drive but check out www.brassanchor.com They are located in Frederick. You can just take I-70 the whole way not a bad drive. I know will cost some extra since 1st stage was bought online to have assembled, but usually buy regs there and assembly is free.
