Does anyone have a pic of a freshwater prawn that they're willing to post? I've never seen a good photo of one in the wild, and now that I have one in an aquarium, I'm interested in 'em.

Not crawdads mind you, but the things that look like big shrimp. The claws are real skinny and elongate. They're supposed to be in Texas rivers, so I guess they're common in other areas too.

I've seen a few but either didn't have a camera or the pics were junk.

Archman,

I don't know how to post a pic here, but I have one. I added it to the photos from my Hawaii trip and it's posted here.

This was taken with a C5050 and it is a very large picture, about 36" x24" full size. If you view it in full size, you can see a prawn just above the triangular shaped rock in the center of the picture. You can barely see it in the photo on this website, so you might want to save it to your computer for better viewing. There is another one just to the left of this one, all the way at the bottom of the picture. However, it is somewhat out of focus.

You might try double clikcing the picture first to see if it will enlarge.

The photo was taken while standing on a bridge, looking down into a freshwater stream on the road to Hana.

I hope this helps.
