Welcome to one of the absolute dream destinations in the world - of course we also visit Bora Bora on our Polynesia round trip. The island is surrounded by a turquoise lagoon. We explore the flat and clear water with a small private motor boat. We explore the island on a scooter ride and of course we also go scuba diving where we encounter a manta ray, corals and sharks.

The waters around Moorea are a gathering place for humpback whales. The mothers bring their children to be fed here and therefore often stay for weeks. It is possible to observe them on guided snorkeling tours. Care is always taken not to disturb the whales. The second encounter happened by chance during a snorkeling trip in front of Tahiti.

Tahiti's neighbour is particularly green and, in contrast, a very quiet place. We explore the island in many ways by car, scooter or on foot. We start with a hike up the magic mountain where we got guided by a dog. With a boat we join a relaxed day at coco island including a bar-b-q. A big Island tour is done with a local guide in a rental car. Finally we take again a scooter and look at the insife of the island and a last look from the mountains.

Thank you for sharing! We are planning our Sept. 2024 trip to Moorea and Rangiroa for diving and exploring.
If possible ad Fakarava South (Wall of sharks) to your list !
