I have the Pro Plus with the quick disconnect. Does anyone know if it's safe to detach it and use it while freediving? I just want to know how deep I'm going and I don't want to pay for another dedicated wrist computer.

The quick disconnect itself when hooked up to the hose jostles around a lot and doesn't seem particularly watertight, which makes me think that the computer by itself is completely watertight. I mean, how does the computer even read the tank pressure? I would think it doesn't really need to let any air inside it - the air just hits up against a sealed pressure plate or something, so even if disconnected from the hose the computer should still be completely watertight, right?
