I've got two dead strobes. But I hate throwing things out, especially if they're non-recyclable.
Here's the lowdown:
YS-03.
Don't know how, but it flooded and I never checked it so it rusted. I haven't tried cleaning out because I think it's a lost cause. But maybe someone can use the bulb or some wiring or something?
YS-15
This was a gamble, and I lost the gamble. A guy posted the YS-15 on Ebay for $20, with the caveat that he did not know anything about it, or if it worked. I bought it, and either it doesn't work, or I'm too dim to figure it out.
The battery part is totally clean. In fact the whole thing is clean. Dead bulb? Bad wiring? No idea. The arms pictured will come with it.
But if *you* can fix it.... FREE STROBE!
Anyway, all I ask is that you kick in a few bucks for shipping. I"m guessing it'll be around 8 bucks for US shipping.
Here's magnified images of the corrosion and a shot of the YS-15
