If you are staying in Phuket Town and have time to spare before travelling to somewhere else then this service is very useful. The schedule is every 15 mins from 11:00 to 22:00 covering 16 designated stops. The proper name of this service is Dragon Line.

There are three AC EV bus routes covering some interesting destinations in Phuket Old Town
Route 2 serves between Bus Terminal 1& 2, replacing the old pink truck. Pity but the fare is still B15.00. T2 is where the bus departs to other destinations in the Kingdom eg. Bangkok.
One of the other route serves between T1 and Rassada Pier + others. This route is good to those who are taking the speed boat to either Koh Phi Phi or Koh Lanta. No need to take the expensive taxi.
Not sure about the route but probably covers Phuket Central(huge shopping mall). The orange airport bus also passing the outside of this mall.

interesting, thanks.
last time i was in Phuket I stayed by Chalong Pier for ease of diving day trips. I prefer to stay in denser urban walkable areas when possible though.

It looks like diving out of Rassada pier would make it convenient to stay in Old Town or one of the surrounding areas, is that what you would recommend?
