Hi everyone, My wife is taking the open water class. She was having trouble so I was working with her abit in the pool.
The problem her regulator free flows like crazy. as soon as you turn it upside down it just pours out. I tried to adjust it with the min. max. switch did nothing.. Tried blocking the air with my thumb and nothing. As far as regular breathing it is fine. Is this a cause for concern.

You should be worried about it... but you should get it adjusted before diving it again by the dive shop where you purchased it... or baring that another diveshop that you trust.

check that. Scubapro calls it "VIVA" and other manufacturers have various names for it. Some brands do not have it as an external adjustment.... (Atomic comes to mind)

If that control is cranked up far beyond "min" it will do that in a lot of cases - its not broken, just set wrong.
