Free Continental US Plane Tickets...where to go?

My girlfriend gets free AirTran tickets anywhere in the continental US twice a year. Her and I are thinking about a trip in Jan, Feb or around there. Tryign to figure out a place to go that we could do some diving as well as some other stuff.

My only thoughts for places that will be warm enough to dive would be Miami, Key West.

What do ya'll think about a flight into Miami and then a rental car to drive into the keys?

I think we would be in to an all inclusive resort type thing if there was good diving and other stuff to do while down there. We are divers but not more than 25% of the time.

Any suggestions?

Don't stop at Miami. For a few dollars more fly to Belize and check out www.islamarisol.com It is the most wonderful diving experience on earth. Tell them Ron Thomas sent you...no I do not get a kick back from them. I just wish all divers could esperience the tranquility, peace and diving beauty of Glovers Reef belize.

I think I'd go to California and dive the Channel Islands, again.

I don't think you will find an AI resort in the continental US, but of course I could be wrong. I'd be interested if knowing if there was one. The only AI resort I can think of in the US (50 states) is in Hawaii on the Big Island. US possessions don't count

I would have to agree with this opinion, not on the resort but on belize in general. If you can score cheap tickets to belize from houston or miami go for it. I loved the diving there, although I stayed on ambergris and didnt make it out to glovers reef.
