Or maybe we were just following this advise

Unlike some people who think it is fitting to advertise how 'easy' it is and how everyone does it all the time, on Scubaboard, I do not agree.

Sincerely,
Neil

Or maybe we were just following this advise

I disagree with you, Jeremy. I don't think this is anything like shore-diving the Eastcliffe Hall. I'd compare it more to the Rothesay, or maybe the Gaskin due to its proximity to the channel. But you certainly have the right to your opinion.

So there is a public entry point. Where is it? When I drove by a few weeks ago, all the spots looked like private land.

According to the official plan map of Glen Walter,

http://www.sdgcounties.ca/Planning_Content/GLENWALTER_URB_SET_AREAS.pdf

Rae road officially extends past Highway 2 to the river. So there's a road allowance that you can use to access the river, as in the attached picture.

I haven't actually tried this yet, so I have no idea if it's practical or not to walk along that tree line to the water. I'm going to check it out next time.

We used to run an zodiac from private dock (pretty much NW from the wreck in your photo). One pair with us almost walked half way out the water was so low at the time. Unfortunately, I do not know any of those folks anymore. Perhaps just a drive along the water and start knocking on doors and hope for the best.
