Hi,

We are heading off to Egypt for the first time in December and are looking at staying at the Four Seasons in Sharm, was just wondering if anyone had any experience of the hotel or more importantly the dive centre "Sinai Blues" as the hotel has a dive package on offer with them so am currently arguing with the wife as to whether we book that or the spa package, (I've seen the reviews on TA but would welcome some input from a diving perspective) 3 of us have our rescue diver and one AOW.

It seems to be the luck of the draw with some of these centres over there, and being that 2 of the group are 13 and 15 I want to give them the safest and most relaxed diving experience possible.

Also looking at the possibility of diving the Thistlegorm, but our youngest is only 13 and although she has done her rescue diver and whilst she is pretty confident, she only has 40 logged dives and is restricted to 21m so was wondering given the horror stories of the numerous boats on the surface, currents etc if it would be too hard a dive for her and also whether she would get much out of it given the depth restriction, and to be honest although I want to go, the families enjoyment/safety comes first.

So any thoughts opinions would be appreciated.

Cheers

I'd recommend Emperor Divers in Sharm, I've dived with them many times and would not have a
bad word to say about them!

Red Sea Diving College and Sinai Divers are good too. Not to say the guys in your hotel aren't, but I
can't speak from personal experience.

I'm not sure I'd take a youngster to the Thistlegorm. These days you are unlucky to see a mad scramble
of boats, but the current can be strong and you'd have to miss out on quite a lot being restricted to 21m.
