You also might consider taking a photo or video of your name and contact information with the GoPro, and then lock the photo/video so it cannot be inadvertently erased. I do not own a GoPro, so I do not know if you can do that with the camera, but I have set up my Nikon and Canon G7X with my information. If you can lock the photo/video of your contact info, it would make it easy for kind and generous people like @John62 to track you down.
