Ok, I am on vacation in Rincon, Puerto Rico and having a fantastic time. I am staying at a friends house, diving off the shore, and I found a set of bones. The extent of my anatomy knowledge stems from physical anthropology (which I took 3 years ago) and am near 100% positive that these are real and old human bones. I do not want to be too specific about the location because it is an untouched and undove reef, he lives here and we found it together. Now, I am not sure who to report it to or who has jurisdiction but I feel we should certainly report it...

Any suggestions?

I will dive tomorrow and try to get pictures and post them. I can only access the Internet via my iPhone...

Jimmy Hoffa?

Nah, Hoffa's here in Lake Mead. Three more bones and we have the whole set. Maybe Amelia? Coulda been way off course!

Seriously, here in the US, I think every state has a law about reporting human remains. I'd do what was suggested and contact the local Coast Guard and police. Good luck, it'll be a hell of a drinkin' story any way it goes.

Unfortunatley after you report it to the authorities, you probably won't hear who you found.
