Hi all! I am currently going through open water certification. I actually have my open water dives scheduled for this coming weekend. Yep a total newbie! I was introduced to diving back in the 70s and again in the 90s but never had the time to go through the process with work and everything else going on.

I am really looking forward to future dives and all there is to offer!

Had a great weekend. got the OW certification and did a couple extra dives too. Had a minor mask issue. Actually exhaling through my nose is the real issue because it kept fogging the mask lense. So I need to work on that and maybe find a different mask.

Already planning some local dives and looking forward to some of the AOW training later.

Thank you! Now it is on to AOW, Nitrox and a bunch of other areas I want to check out. Oh and of course some diving.

Before you discard your mask, try really cleaning it well with toothpaste, and try using a good commercial defog (I like 200 foot viz). It's not usually the mask's fault that it's fogging.

Oh, and congratulations on your certification!

Will try cleaning again. I thought I had cleaned it well, but being a newbie definitely has disadvantages. I don't remember the name of the defog but i got it at the dive shop.

Just a minor issue on the way to a lot of fun!
