For what ever reason, I have allowed three years to pass since I have gone underwater! Life has a way of getting in the way! I have been dreaming of Carmel lately but have become so diconnected with the diving world I don't know where to begin. My girlfriend whom I became certified with is just as anxious, but together we're not worth a hill of beans. I used to be fairly confident in my abilities (until Monstery kicked my rear a few years back). I'm considering a refresher class at my old hang-out, but I may settle for just jumping back in their pool. (I'm cheap...kidding!) Anyway, the gear will be serviced, and I will come here to listen to your stories & will surely be back in the water soon. My confession: I have been keeping the live web cam of the Monterey Aquarium Kelp Forest on my computer at work for the duration of my work week. Does that sum up my incredible need? LOL

I'll be lurking for a while...thanks for the inspiring posts and photos!

Kim :)

Welcome to Scubaboard :)

The California diving, especially Monterey, are excellent, but as you have found out, can be dangerous. A refresher course would be a very good thing.

Welcome back... I am envious that you still have Monterey as your local dive spot, unfortunately diving quarries in the midwest are a pale, poor substitute for the kelp forests of NorCal.
