Forecast indicates Norte for this week

Hi all,

Just wanted to see how folks on island are viewing this forecast. WindGURU: Mexico - Cozumel

Is the port closed? If so, how long do you expect it will be closed?

Just trying to get my expectations for January set correctly.

The port did not close today, the wind was N to N x NW but the wind speed was low enough that the wave conditions were not that bad. I dove this morning and then did a night dive this evening. Tomorrow's wind speeds look to be a little less than todays, I hope to get 4 dives in.

I don't foresee any port closures with that wind report. Speeds are lower than usually closes it, and the direction is not critical, either.

The port HERE will be closed for the next 2 to 3 days for a Norte, which will be bringing 8 to 12 inches of snow & blowing it around. Think I'd rather be in Coz even if their port is closed.
