THOSE THINGS ARE HUGE! Looks like they were swimming too close and for too long near a nuclear power plant. Too much radiation or something. It said that "Despite their size, the invertebrates aren't toxic enough to cause serious harm to humans," but what is serious to them may not be serious to me. Surely they hurt worse than the smaller ones. They are awesome though.

Ahhh, someone just needs to start the rumor that these jellies are an aphrodisiac. Then instead of hacking them up and tossing them overboard, they'll start ending up in the markets.

ehh, those aren't scary...

these tiny 2cm ones are scary...

There is a commercial food market for jellyfish, just not this kind.

Eh, how do you kill such a thing? Theoretically speaking, of course... I don't think I'll ever be anywhere near those.

Afraid of jellyfish? Only those that are deadly toxic... fortunately I'm unaware of any here in my local waters. I dive with full wetsuits for protection though.

Be afraid, be very afraid... :scared:

What is weird, is why there has been a spike in their population. All they can do is speculate.
