Hi,

Does anybody here know how to get rid of fog in a pressure gauge?

Thanks

JY

Stick it in an airtight jar with (uncooked) white rice.

Personally, I would replace it.

Fog means water which means it leaked.

Some use a screw off retainer for the lens so you can remove it, remove the lens, dry it out then re-seal it. If the lens retainer is crimped on, you are pretty much SOL.

Sometimes you'll see some condensation when you enter water that is much colder than the air temperature, but if this fog is there constantly, you may have had a leak. The gauge should continue to work, but eventually you should probably replace it.

Thanks for all the answers. It's crimped so I cannot unscrew it. I'll try the rice trick.
