Although I learned to dive with the US Navy tables back in 2002, I doubt that any diver in the last 10 years or so used / use them anymore... the same goes for buddy breathing.

Perhaps you should also teach younger folks on how to use them :wink:

And take away the electronic gadgets?? What would the younger generation do?

There are the DAN recommendations about flying after diving, which are well-grounded in research, but this topic comes up from time to time when people want more detail or have specific circumstances like the OP's. Nice to meet a fellow Navy diver (90-10-BDO here).
