I just bought the Aeris Atmos 2. I haven't used it on a dive but I've been experimenting with it in "surface mode". According to the instruction book if you hit the front button once you will go to the dive planner screen, and if you hit it a second time you go to Fly Mode. However when I hit it the second time it doesn't go to Fly Mode, just back to the main screen. Am I doing something wrong? thanks

You have to have done a dive recently (probably within 24 hours) in order to access the fly mode. It would be pretty pointless to display a fly time otherwise.

Tostito,

Thanks, this is kind of what I thought, but I wanted to check. Now I feel like a moron for asking this, but at least I don't have to take the computer back to the shop. :cheeky: (this is the first computer I've owned)

You learn a lot more about how it works by using it than just reading a manual.

IndyDan is right. The Atmos2 time to fly is just a 24 hour countdown from your last dive.

That said I like my Atmos2 alot. Of course its the only computer I have owned so WTF do I know? :54:

I'm diving with it for the first time in a week so I'm trying to learn as much as I can from the manual.

I wouldn't worry about studying the manual too closely. I bought mine the day before a dive. I read the manual on the way to the dive site and haven't looked at it since. Its really a very intuitive design.
