Hi Fellow SB's,
Here is a bit hairy question. I know You cannot Dive and Fly but can you Fly and Dive? We are going to Bonaire and landing around 2:30 pm local time. We want to get our check-out dive done that same afternoon if possible. Thx.

About the only thing you need to be concerned with is hydration. The air in an airplane is very dry, and unless you make an effort to stay well hydrated there is a tendency to get dehydrated during the flight. There are no pressure related problems with diving after flying.

you might want to consider drinking water on flight down, rather than rum and cokes :)
for reasons Rick stated above.

As I understand it, flight after diving is a problem due to the residual Nitrogen in your blood system being subjected to less atmospheric pressure; This makes it more probable to come out of solution.

If there is no Nytrogen while flying, there is no danger of DCI.
