Hi!
Thank you so much for the press Lee! Yes, Capt Thacker has sold the vessel, Hammerhead, to us this past August. We have an office next door to Florida West Scuba (which is still in full operation with the dive shop and dive classes). We are having our Grand Opening this Friday, February 5th (4-6pm). If you are in the Venice area, please come and join us!

Diving is our passion. We look forward to carrying on the Florida West tradition; continuing to offer safe, successfull, Shark Tooth Dives. Please call us at 941-483-DIVE (3483), or check us out at megalodoncharters.com

Safe Diving!

Sincerely,
Capt Steve Jones

We are happy that Megalodon Charters are up and running with their new owners and they have full support from our dive store. I still believe that this is the safest boat operation in the area with the training and equipment required for running a complete charter operation. For those that do not know, the vessel was repowered this past fall and Capt. Steve Jones has done a great job getting and keeping Hammerhead in perfect condition. Just drop by and take a look! As always, the vessel has safety equipment you will not always find on other vessels. This boat can support TWO unconscience divers on O2, has an MTV-100 unit on board, Dan O2 unit, respiratory bags, two oxygen bottles of 40 cu. ft. each, AND the training to used this equipment. The vessel is also equipped with a diver recall system, surface flotation, auto fire exitnguisher system, life floats, three life rings, two floating strobes, etc. etc. We wish Megalodon Charters the best of luck and we thank the thousands of customers who have dived with Florida West Scuba School over the past 12 years. I will miss all of you but drop in and say hi! We will leave the light on for you!

Capt. Steve Thacker

Hello Steve & Steve,

JoyfulLee and I used your dive operation last season and plan on more Venice diving this year. We are headed to Savannah GA next weekend to check out the non comercialized black water diving there. We are seeing some very high quality large Megs comming from there.

Your underwater PA system rocks. Unbelievable clarity.

We have an Island Hopper dive boat operation here in Charleston SC. It is run by Tom and Sally Robinson at:

Congrats on the reforming!
