I flooded my Canon S95 last night as the door was not properly locked. I'm doing all the things to try to recover but I'm pretty sure it's a lost cause.

What do you recommend as the replacement? I have a double tray with the Ikelite AF35 strobe and a small focus light.

Have you considered simply replacing it with another S95 to leverage you housing investment?

My housing is the Canon plastic housing, about $150 if I remember correctly, and has a fair amount of wear. The S95 is now three generations behind, so my thinking is it's not worth staying with the same camera for the sake of the housing.

I think valid replacement suggestions will be based upon 2 things
- what type of photo / video do you want to do?
- what is your budget?

Providing some more information in these areas should help narrow the choices.

I'm willing to spend up to $1K on camera+housing, I dive mainly shore diving in Southern Ca, and am a moderate underwater photographer. Here are some of my last photos I took with the S95

I was thinking of replacing with either a S120 or G16, my preference being S120 because of its size. It has a touch screen LCD screen, will that be a problem using underwater with the Canon housing?
